Vivo V70 and T5x 5G Show Up in BIS Listings Ahead of Indian Debut

Vivo Gears Up for 2026 Indian Smartphone Launches

Vivo is preparing to launch two new smartphones in the Indian market, with the Vivo V70 and Vivo T5x 5G recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. This regulatory step strongly suggests that both devices are nearing their official debut in India, potentially as early as February 2026.

Vivo V70: Camera-Centric Successor

The Vivo V70 is expected to succeed the Vivo V60, which launched in August 2025. According to industry reports, the V70 might be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50, which is scheduled to launch in China on December 15.

Previous Geekbench listings have revealed that the Vivo V70 will feature an octa-core chipset with a prime core running at 2.80GHz, four performance cores at 2.40GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.84GHz. The device is also expected to run Android 16 out of the box and may feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

Vivo T5x 5G: Budget-Friendly Powerhouse

The Vivo T5x 5G (model V2545) is expected to succeed the Vivo T4x 5G, which launched in India earlier in 2025. While official specifications remain under wraps, the device is likely to build upon the features of its predecessor while offering several upgrades.

The Vivo T4x 5G, which the T5x 5G is expected to succeed, featured a 6.72-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, up to 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, and a 6,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The T5x 5G is expected to improve upon these specifications.

Launch Timeline and Market Expectations

While Vivo has yet to officially announce launch dates for either device, the BIS certifications typically represent one of the final regulatory steps before a smartphone's launch in India. Tipsters suggest that both phones could be launched in February 2026.

The Vivo V70 is expected to be positioned in the mid-range segment with a focus on camera capabilities, potentially priced around ₹39,990. Meanwhile, the T5x 5G will likely target the budget 5G smartphone segment, competing with devices from Realme, Xiaomi, and Samsung in the sub-₹20,000 price range.
